Images in post threads

Anyone have any hints on getting images to appear within posted threads. I posted a short one last night and used the Image tags to include the URL to an image I had on both Dropbox and Google Drive. All I get when I save and view the post is the word "Image". That word is not itself a link either. How is everyone getting photos into their posts? I couldn't find a Help function in the Forum software.

I use image hosting site, Postimage.org. Before that Photobucket. Paste the URL from the host site. I think there are "knowledge base" subjects on this matter in this forum.

When you create or edit a post, there's an [Attachments] button under the edit screen. This allows you to upload images to the Armortek server and then include them in your post.

If you use a hosting site, then there's a risk, ala Photobucket, where images are restricted or watermarked if you don't sign up to a subscription.
