Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
I've now managed to get a coat of primer on all road wheel parts and now need to get them assembled.
M2 nuts and bolts are going to be used after getting 1000+ in from China.
I'm going to leave them in degreaser for a while to make sure that they are clean before use

Slow going with the road wheel construction this week.
Assembled using the M2 nuts and bolts and just waiting for the weather to be better to get the Red Oxide and top coat done.

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
After so much work and a lot of paint the road wheels are finally ready to get the tyres fitted.
Need to leave these for a few days to fully dry I think before handling them too much so will sort out getting the inside of the tyres abraded ready.
I'm going to use UHU Plus EndFest 300 Epoxy instead of the Loctite 480 which should give me up to 90 minutes of working time.

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
I had a bit of spare time this evening so had a go at fitting a few tyres to wheels to see how it went.
So far so good

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
Finally all 34 roadwheels fully assembled.
That's modified and using the more scale like M2 nuts and bolts.
A very long time to do but really happy with how they turned out.
On to preparing the hubs for paint and getting the bearings fitted next.

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
Quite a few hours put in today with painting and wheel assembly.
All hubs painted even though the one set of eight will not be seen.
Still quite a few to go

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
Finally all road wheels are fully assembled and finished.
The M2.5 Hex head bolts used in the instructions for both sides of this wheel have been changed to a M2.5 stud arrangement on the front face to match up with the other wheels.
Worked out Ok with only a small amount of touch up needed on the nuts after tightening them up.

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
Finally got there with the model now sat on its road wheels.
A bit of a mission but got there in the end.
Going to have a look at the hub caps next with maybe a magnetic solution for fixing them and then the rear idle wheels.

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
Some time spent over the last couple of evenings with cleanup of the idler wheels.
The majority of the quite heavy machining marks have been removed leaving a bit of a textured surface.
Ready for primer/paint tomorrow hopefully if the weather is OK.
