Re: M26 Pershing
Hi Ronald
I haven't bought my batteries yet but my motors arrived in my consignment today. The motors are pretty hefty and I wanted to see the kind of current they would draw so I connected them up to a stabilised bench power supply at 24 volts, and they each draw 1.45 amps at no load so each consuming 35 watts when turning at no load. At that point I chickened out as I could see they'd be too powerful to mess about with when they're unsecured on the bench, so I decided to wait until they're installed properly to load test them.
Most builders seem to choose 2 x 22Ah lead acid batteries for the build - is there some specific design issue you have in mind?
