Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
A day off work and I managed to get a few hours of actual assembly in.
Several parts have now been installed that were waiting for the lower hull sides to be painted.
Next back to the suspension...
Already prepared a long time ago and now time to see about getting the flat ground onto those torsion rods and installed.
A quick check on the forum I think to see the best and easiest way to do it

This build is so clean it almost looks like a 3D render!

Most of the day has been spent sorting out the suspension.
It worked out OK.
Now to get them painted.

That's the suspension all sorted and now on to the rear idler shaft and track tensioner.

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
A few hours put in today with the track tensioner finished and have made a start to the drive gear.
All parts cleaned up and gear case primed with a bit of texture added.
Red Oxide, topcoat and assembly hopefully tomorrow.

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
Another nice steady day with the build.
Gear cases in and have lightly primed parts of the rear deck. I have used Oxylube for the gears.
A lot of time was spent making spacers for the rollers so that the screw could be tightened down onto something solid instead of just the plastic of the roller.
Just a couple more days of my weeks holiday left now and back to work Monday.

Hi Malcolm , love to see your building.
Will you do anything about the mysterious hole ?
It was firstly mentioned by Gary Rafferty on 20 June : viewtopic.php?t=9311&start=180. Discussions followed , no definitive answer yet.
Puzzlingly not all batches of Panther have got this hole.
Regards,
Lerh Chang

Hi Chang
No, not worried about it at all.
Can't be seen once the gear case is on nor can it be seen from the inside.

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
Just a little bit done today with the initial bolting together of the parts painted yesterday and another test fit of all the deck parts to recheck for a reasonably even clearance gap.
Not too many parts to fit here so I will look at getting this engine panel sorted.

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
Started with some cleanup of a few M2.5 castle nuts tonight.
Pretty time consuming for 8 nuts but the Dremel helps a lot

Re: Panther G 2022 #15 Build
A few hours of work over the past couple of days with Prepping, priming and painting parts for the rest of the rear decking.
These radiator and fan cowlings are so much easier to paint when they are not fixed down.
Some weld beads and a bit more to do before I assemble everything.
