Panther Progress!
Nice green spots Bob!
Well done and look how the model look more alive and get a deep not seen on a plain yellow one.
I guess the brown ones comes next as it was a Das Reich Panther from Normandy you aimed for?
Is there a reason why the 2 wheels in front has a different yellow color then the others? Maybe replaced ones at the field workshop?
Looking forward for more photos

Darn it Bob!
I knew I should of waited till you painted your camo! Your green has the nice mottled blotches I was hoping for on mine. Oh well, maybe on the Tiger.
Very nicely done. I can't wait to see it completed!

Thanks for the feedback guys. Ha Tim, you crack me up. Your Panther has a world class paint job - you shouldn't feel dissapointed about it at all. Hope you don't. I just wanted something a bit different than the standard spot pattern. At first I didn't like the mottled look, but the more I look at it the more I like it. Some areas look good and faded. Hope I won't ruin it with the brown.
Allan that is good and cold, 15 degrees F -ouch! I would be stayin in the warm house too! It only got about -3C here (25F) but tons of snow. Felt like Bastogne. I'm pushing myself to get this thing done by Spring 09 - I want to drive it!!!!!
Kent, yes the right front road wheels are supposed to be from a different tank - mine damage I need to weather them so its not so obvious. The one zimmerit coated side plate (on right side) is supposed to be "different" as well.
Hope to do the brown this week sometime. Cheers all.

Bob,
The tank is looking good, I wish we could have some snow, enough to keep us home from work and have a good play with the tanks in the snow. You know us Brits, one snowflake and the country grinds to a halt. A few years ago the railway came to a stop and some guy from the company came out with the classic that it was the wrong kind of snow!!

Thanks for the kudos and thoughts guys.
Jeff, I agree whole heartedly. I love the painting part of the project, but it can be a bit of nail biting too - did I ruin it?? will it look like I want??? dooh that brown is too red!!! Oh nooo that green isn't right!!! Maddening but at the same time rewarding. All part of the fun. The nice thing about tanks is they don't have to be perfect!
Kind regards all, Bob

Spent this Saturday making airbrush masks for the crosses and numbering using blue painters tape. Useful stuff that painters tape. I was surprised how well the numbering came out - very little touch up required. Tedious work though.
Kent, I know its not Barkmann's tank now. I liked the camo on tanks used around Caen so I went with that. That means your tank can be his! I will just have to rename my figure.
