There is an error in the Motion Control Module Instructions.
Transmission frame rate compatibility is selected using switch 1, not switch 3.

I've been doing the bench test this morning and I have a question. I use Futaba T4YF-2.4G four channel radios on all my tanks and I've always used the right radio lever up and down for both motors F/R and left radio lever moved side to side for steering left/right.
The way the Motion Pack operates now is each drive motor uses each separate L/R lever for forward/reverse independently. The way it works now the right lever is F/R on the RIGHT motor and the left lever is F/R on LEFT motor.
I use Sabertooth 2X25 ESCs on some of my tanks and when they're installed I use the DIP switches to change to the way I like to drive.
I haven't touched your Motion Pack DIP 4 switch board yet but which switch do I change to make it work like I like? Do I need to flip switch 2,3, or 4 on your panel?

The Sabertooth has a "Mixed Mode" where you can configure it to drive as you want. The Motion Control Module doesn't have that functionality.
If you want to drive as you have before, you'll probably need to enable Elevon mixing on the T4YF.

Does the motion pack for the King Tiger support limit switches in the turret traverse? I dont have my modules yet so cant answer my own question. I dont want to shear off the antennas....

No. There is no positional feedback input on the controller.
You could do it with an Arduino or similar, sitting between the receiver and the controller and monitoring the switches.
Or just don't turn the turret too far ;-)

One could always build your own limiting system by using micro switches to automatically reverse polarity of the turret traverse power.

I personally have never worried about traverse limits. Just keep track of the turret's position. To reach a point where you need to traverse the turret more than 360° at any one time is rare.

Not sure how long the speed controller would last if the turret's bouncing on and off the switch

Looking at the hookup diagram on "My Beaut Cent", looks like the traverse motor is driven by a "brushed motor" controller with two wires going to the motor. Will it damage the controller if the motor is disconnected and the controller receives a signal? That is where to insert the switches and diodes. It should not bounce off of them if it is only opening the circuit, not reversing it.
Is the traverse proportional? If it is, I think I can get it to behave more like the prototypical 2 speed traverse of the 1:1, through a custom curve for that stick in the transmitter.
Or maybe I should just stop with this and get on with the build...

Well I would hope there's some restraint exercised when using the turret traverse! It's really only a preventative measure to keep the turret from
causing damage to wiring not something to be used like bumper pool...
Short of implementing slip rings it's a viable option if one wants a method of preventing the ability to turn the turret

Please note that this original thread referred to the Silver Box motion control module and not to the later red box ones.
However, to answer the question posed - the easiest and most permanent method is to drill a hole in the ring gear and fix in place a bar to act as a stop against the motor for where you want the turret to stop rotation. It goes without saying that once this stop position has been reached you need to stop trying to turn the turret or else you will eventually burn out the motor.
