The new Armorpax Workshop

Post by Dave Dibb (Armorpax) »

Hi All,

Following the loss of my favourite photo area (to a temporary kitchen and eventual utility area :-( ) it was time to create a purpose built workshop where we could photograph all the future stuff. Its something I've thought about doing for years but never actually got started on till now. Its a long project that will probably continue to evolve. Its certainly got my modelmaking juices flowing again after another "I hate modelling period". These are actually quite common with me which is why when I am on a roll I do as much as possible :-)

I have finally given in to the printing thing too for some of the machine tool work and workshop items. The lathe, drill and bench grinder have had a fair bit of post finishing and scratchwork added though. I am also using it as a lathe for things I can't make round by hand...…………….

Here is my progress so far.

Best regards

Dave

Hi Dave:

Did HM's Health and Safety folks send a really little person to inspect your shop and sign off on the opening?

Looks amazing! Well done!

Cheers,

Amazing! The lathe looks like it really works. I was thinking you got everything but cigarettes and an ash tray - but you got that too!
Maybe some scale shavings for the floor?

Hi All,

Thank you for the kind comments. This is just the start of the workshop, its one of those things that's just going to get added to until it is cluttered enough to be a proper workshop :-). The bin and so many other bits are already planned and I will post periodic updates until you are all board with it :-)

Cheers

Hi All,

Work on the lathe is nearly complete. Just waiting on a lamp to arrive then the lathe is ready to be wired into the isolator.

Best regards
