A U.S. training film from 1944 on how to hand solder. A very high level treatment of the subject...



I have soldering irons like those in the video. All the way up to a 400 watt giant... An evening adult ed 'metal shop' course I took in the
early 90s (because they had a complete foundry that I took over!) was taught in an old high school shop facility. They went one step further back with a bank of gas powered soldering -heating stations with non electric true soldering 'irons' you had to heat in the gas flames before you could solder anything...
