It doesn't look like I've done much but what I did took all afternoon!

I have found some smaller rivets so I shall swap those out on the hinge

OMG a lot of wonderful small parts have already been created here in the first days of the new year.
And the parts are getting more and more delicate. If it continues like this, we will be surprised with modeled dust particles in 1/6 at the end ... ...

Phil,
A really good reference record and 'how to' on the fabrication work. Nice to see all these details being put together with good old fashioned real metal rather than 3D printing. Details like the loaders hatch are similar on Chieftain, so this is of great interest for the future.

As it's very cold in the workshop ( until the heater has kicked in) I use a blow lamp to warm the mass.

I've lifted the turret roof out very carefully so not to deform the weld bead.

Tomorrow I will check the fit, I will then run cyno around the beads contact area with the turret, this will ensure that it stays in place.
