hi, i have a hafco hm-47 mill/drill that suddenly wont start. i was working a part fine then stopped to adjust position of piece but mill would not start. i cant find any references so i'm asking here if by chance someone will know.

Im not familiar with this type of machinery but a regular cause could be the safety cover not closed.
I doubt the machine have a fuse of its own.

You have a few options
1, is the emergency stop button pressed down or activated
2, On the rear of the control box there is a black plastic cover this houses the fuse
3, open up the control box there may be a fuse on the main board

Is there thermal protection on the motor? More basic question is there any possibility of a fault on the supply line the machine is using?

power is getting through. i was milling just fine, no problems, switch it off to adjust the x&y position and then pressed start..........and nothing.

No warning lights anywhere ? Could be as simple as a faulty start button.

went to the garage to try something with the mill and when i turned it on and pressed start, it worked. it's got me buggered what happened and why after leaving it a few days it works again. machinery huh.
