Saukopf mantlet

Post by Jerry Carducci »

Has anyone made a saukopf mantlet for their StuG III G? I've been fiddling with the idea ever since I purchased my kit.
I think that later Gs with that mantlet just look 'purposeful'; the cat's whiskers if you will.

I've made one in 1/10 scale; cast in aluminium, years ago and was thinking of scaling it up or perhaps working with someone who's
possibly printed on up on a 3D printer.

So, there's good news and bad news...

The good news is I am the new custodian of the Spearhead Armour castings and masters, or at least some of them.

The bad news is it's all in my storage facility and I shattered my collarbone on Wednesday in a cycling accident and can't drive for a few weeks.

Owww! Sound horribly painful. Hope you mend well and quickly. Tanks and parts are secondary to one's health and well being....

Thanks guys. Fortunately it hasn't been painful, just very inconvenient.
