It will be quiet on the Woollard front today as my hands need a rest so I'm off to the Devon county show.
Parts for the Meteor will still be printing while I'm out though!

We are having a break from the engine ( still printing parts though) and started on the rear deck detailing, which there is far more than you would think.

Removing material from the rear to thin up the look from the top surface, the folded section can then be lowered but that's for tomorrow.

You would think that these machined pieces would be perfectly flat and true but they are far from it, some aluminium stock has internal forces that can cause the piece to bow when material is removed

Good Old craft apprenticeship for the Queen Mr D. It's baking in the workshop but got lots done before it reaches 40° in there.

After watching a jeweler removing the back of my watch it gave me the idea of using a pencil rubber to turn the delicate bolts, works a treat .

Those vertical plates, I have no idea what they are for .....maybe tie downs as they have holes drilled them?

Phil, for what it's worth, I've returned to using Knupfer again. Their service is first class and postage very reasonable. I've recently bought 500 M1.2 x8 set screws and 100 M1.2 nuts for just under £100.

M1.2mm nuts & set screws. Hmmmmm, do I sniff a Clan Leader post in the near future Stephen? :wink:
