Thanks for the clip Manny 8)
I think I crawled over and sat in this tank when it was holed up in the west midlands. At the time it needed a bit of work, could have probably brought it for less than a built Armortek Chieftain, but it wouldn't have fitted in the boot

Wish I'd taken more pictures, but this was before Chieftain was a glint in Armortek's eye.

I didn't take a picture of the makers/mod plate inside at the time, but in this clip we get a glimpse of it. The unused one I have will be used to mount control gear in my model.
Corny, but a bit of authenticity in the grand scale of things

The new toy gets some work done on the turret, batteries a tad dearer than the model and the L60 surprising the narrator with it's reliability.
I knew it, it was all just hype to give the enemy a false sense security

Hi John
I like the video of the turret turning, just how do I get that blue tinge to the exhaust fumes/smoke?

Remember No34, we overfilled & and had authentic oil everywhere 🙄, but lots of smoke .
Take care 😊
Charles
Chieftain No.34, functional. PKW IV (2002), operational. Panther G No.18 (2022), started, well some of it is. Series 1 4x4 No.28 and a Bailey Bridge.

Another couple of installments from the full size guys. you'll have to forgive the "french" language and any references to other counties.
But it's real life I'm afraid.
Also threw in, fantastic beasts and where to find them or Chieftain parts and where to find them. 8)
Lulworth range

Another couple of clips from those jolly gents with the 1:1 scale toys.
A hillbilly weekend with a Chieftain tank short ride on, a L60 that sounds pretty good and a Centurion gun tank rebuild introduction.
Not quite sure the gear changes on the Chieftain are sweet enough, but the L60 sounds wonderful. 8)

Great videos.
That fire engine brought back nice memories. We had them many years ago at the airport. I used to do mandatory fire drills with the airport fire crew and when finished they used to take us around the airport perimeter on one of them just for fun.

Hi Vince I used to drive the fire engine at my power station.
A Land Rover LWB with a full on board tank of water for the foam cannon was a nightmare to drive, but thoughly enjoyed it.
The foam ingredient stunk, old timers would tell me it was ox blood, i was never quite sure :?

Wait a minute, what's this, Iran's up dating its Chieftains. I missed this one.
Rolling Chieftains with mid deck exhausts like Challenger?
Maybe a bit better than T72 after all.

And a nice little brief War Thunder Chieftain history.

Just how many 1:1 scale vehicles do these guys have?

Well we have a tour.

I find these clips soothing, they constantly remind me why I should Never ever contemplate, consider or dream of owning a full size AFV.
It's expensive, it requires determined commitment, but most importantly, a team event. If you have non of these ( I don't) your full size pride and joy will end up in a field.
Plenty of potential but collecting patina.

:| Warning, the language is ripe, so turn down the volume if easily offended. :o

The guys have been playing with their toys again.
I'm not a fan stressing mechanical equipment, watching gearboxes crunching, clutches burning and a total lack of empathy for the poor sods who has to fix up the mess afterwards.(Maintenance tech)
Still, it's fun. :? Traction engines for the old timers.

The L60 performing flawlessly. (Myth buster) Neutral turn and flooring it (5.00) feel slightly for the tractor during the pull 8)

Errrrr, Two American yoots buying a Chieftain tank. Finding out a tank is a delicate machine and should be handled with care.
At least the baseball hats were on the right way round :D
Plenty of entertaining bits (lots of ripe language)
