NB Suspension shafts

Post by leesellars »

Hello Chaps

I have noticed that on the two PZIIIs i am doing, is that on the Torsion bar shaft and Arm is that you must use a high strenth Glue ie Loctight 638 or equivalent. This is a must!!!
This is due that the arms on the left looking from the back the rotation of the arm undoes the thread loosening it.

That is a pain and I found that even fairly strong loctite would loosen.

The Panzer III is on hold for now, too much else to do. However, when I start work on it again, I plan on extending the thread on the suspension shaft just enough for the grub screws all to appear in the same place and also I plan on pinning the swing arm and shaft with a roll pin. I have 3mm pins to do the job, this will stop all movement.
