Could anyone tell us when these numbers were used, I've only seen this one vehicle with the road wheel hub covers like this?

'Could anyone tell us when these numbers were used

Part numbers, relating to the Ilustrated Parts List and te manufacturer’s drawings. Some also indicate the foundry which cast the part. In this case, ROF W is Royal Ordnance Factory Woolwich.

They’re all over Centurion if you look hard enough.

As my question and road wheel photo suggests I was referring to the road wheel hub covers.

Stephen, I think Phil was asking could these hubs with part numbers cast in appear randomly on any Mark of Cent or was it particular to early or late marks.

Ah, you’re a mind reader.

The use of casting marks appears to vary between foundries. Supplies of parts to the production line would mix sources. The result is what appears to be random presence on completed vehicles. Parts might be further mixed during base overhaul/upgrading. So they would not be incorrect on any mark.

Testing, I've deleted all cookies, turned off my older device and checked the security settings but to no avail. I'm still getting logged out! It's just hit and miss. I had no problem before the site crashed. If I continuously have to log in even after clicking on " keep me logged in" is the problem my end?

Phil - thanks for persevering with your posts through the technical difficulties you are experiencing. I know I speak for others - your work is exceptional to watch, and it would be a real loss to the forum if you couldn’t/didn’t continue.
