Piercing through the winter gloom (not helped by certain cricket events down under), it's time to look forward to some tank action happening soon. I've completed the applications for the Tank Museum events in UK this year and started to compile other events as they become known. If you have an event you'd like including in the list below, please let us know.
The first UK event is the Spring Model show. I've applied for two days, knowing that one day may be enough. It would be helpful to know which days in advance if you're interested in coming.
Thanks - Covid and weather permitting, let's make this a memorable year for all the right reasons.
Amendment history:
6 Jan - Date of Spring Tiger Day corrected.
10 Jan - Yeovil Model Show and Miltracks added.

Re: EVENTS - 2022
As usual, Stephen does the 'front of house' stuff (ie. the liaison with Bovington for pitch size and location), and I'll do the back room admin . Therefore, please PM me with your interest in which show(s) you'd like to attend (apart from TankFest, which I'm sure Monique will advertise nearer the time), and send me a copy of your 2022 insurance, which can be obtained from clubs like the Southern Armour Group or the British Model Flying Association as well as directly from some insurance brokers. Public Liability cover should ideally be for at least £5M. Unfortunately, no insurance = no attendance. That's the world we live in these days .
And, for those attending any shows in support of Armortek, please review the operating rules at viewtopic.php?f=34&t=6268. You also need to be prepared to engage with the inquisitive public, so brush up on the historical context of whatever vehicle you're bringing along !
Best wishes, and stay well,
Chris

Re: EVENTS - 2022
Hi All,
I have just had my contract through for both the Feb and Sept Model show so hopefully catch up with some of you there.
As the last year or so if you don't ask for it in advance there is a good chance we won't have it on the day
Best regards
Dave

Re: EVENTS - 2022
Tiger Day, Tank Museum, Bovington. 23rd Apr.
We're currently registered for this event but last year had to decline for lack of interest. Could I ask if there is anyone who'd like to go to the next one on the 23rd Apr? If there's sufficient interest, I'll confirm the contract with the Tank Museum. If not, in fairness to the TM, I need to let them know we're not attending.
Thanks.
Stephen and Chris

Re: EVENTS - 2022
Got some takers so I'll tell the Museum we'll go ahead. I've asked for the usual pitch in Tank Story Hall in case of rain. S
