Over the weekend of the 25/26 September 2021 The St Albans & District Model Engineering Society is planning to stage the Big St Albans Model Show. It used to be called our annual model engineering exhibition but that wasn't exciting enough. We generally have plenty of steam engines and RC boats in action but never any armour and I'd like to fix that (I'm the chairman and the committee support me on this). Its a very popular, friendly local show that sees several thousand people through the doors but its clearly not in the same category as Tankfest or any other armour focused event. We focus on models that move and where possible we involve the public in taking rides or having a go making or operating models.
I have a developing personal interest in armour and have a Tiger 1 on order but unfortunately I doubt I'll have it running by September. This post is to see whether there are any Armortek owners out there who fancy joining up to operate their models at our Big St Albans Model Show. I'm hoping that this might appeal to those within striking distance of Hertfordshire and fancy one or two days operating their models with plenty of interested people to talk to.
If you are potentially interested please private message me.

Re: The Big St Albans Model Show
Great to see the events kicking off again.
Mike - if you have any photos from previous years, you should post them here to give people an idea of what they can look forwards to.

Re: The Big St Albans Model Show
Unfortunately due to issues relating to the pandemic we have had to cancel our Big Model Show this year and hope to have another go in 2022. The St Albans Model Engineering Society was split on whether to go ahead or not this year and without the full support of all members it would have been too hard for us to undertake the logistics and staffing.
