Re: Universal Carrier Nr 34
Hopefully the set up for the twin motors. I have made bearing for the end of the motor gearbox and the axles. Will be setting up electronics with my son soon so as to test out the how it drives. In theory it should have twice the power? Well will see.

Re: Universal Carrier Nr 34
It will be really interesting to see how the various twin motor setups compare.

You wouldn't think they were the same scale. Tiger 1 and Universal Carrier tracks.

Re: Universal Carrier Nr 34
Latest version of my twin motor drive is now to use 6mm chain drive. I found that the belt drive required accurate alignment of the pulley shafts otherwise the belt wanders off the pulleys. All electrics working now thanks to my son Sam.

Re: Universal Carrier Nr 34
Hi
Just to conform that the two standard Armortek motors, 6mm roller chain and 6mm steel sprocket 14T and 6mm steel sprocket 25T are strong enough to drive over most obstacles and tow my Armortek 25pdr and limber. A simple system that works. Control is via two of the Armortek speed controllers.
