Alternative Barrel Clamp

Post by Allan Richards »

Below is the recently painted Barrel Clamp I made for my Firefly. This is diferent to the one Bob is making as it fits on the rear deck of the Sherman to clamp the longer gun. The original appears to be fabricated from steel angle and there are a number of different configurations on the band and the way it clamps the gun. I chose this design as I had the most detailed photos of it. The lamp does work but is a little delicate. I've also been quite heavy on the white dry brushing to make it stand out on the rear deck.

Looks great Allan!

It's all these different parts on the different versions of these tanks that I really enjoy seeing. Everyone has their own personal touch that makes each one unique to it's owner. Fun stuff! :D

Have a safe New Years
