A request for one of you Craftsmen out there? Broadarrow stamps!

Post by Robert Reid »

So as I am assembling my 25 PDR, one thing that I would really like to be able to do is stamp a lot of parts with a correct British Army Broadarrow stamp.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broad_arrow

Of course, these came in different sizes... but something that would stamp a nice 1/16th, 3/32nds and 1/8" broadarrow in aluminum and mild steel would be wonderful!

I would be willing to bet that in addition to us 25 pdr and limber builders, the folks building Centurions, Chieftians, Ant's, Ghosts.... etc. might like a stamp set?

Anyone out there skilled in the tool and die world who might be able to make and offer these for the Armortek community?

Cheers,

RPR

P.S. Alternatively, doing some Google Searching shows some custom stamp companies that will do short runs of custom stamps. Anyone else interested? Maybe we can get a group buy together for something like a three-stamp set?

But you mean a decal or an engraved metal plate or something, I'm sorry but I don't understand well.

Apologies to resurrect this older thread.

Wasn't sure you ever found your broad arrow stamps.

This fellow makes them and I believe are size appropriate in 1, 2,3, and 4mm sizes. Not inexpensive.

Thank you!

Looked at the site. That's some nice stuff! The 1mm and 2mm are about ideal for our projects.

Not cheap, but not outrageous, either! And as many broadarrows are found on WW2 equipment, they would get a lot of workout!

Cheers,

RPR
