Hi All,

Another productive weekend over and the weather was hot and sunny, ideal for a spot of spraying. So now I have a quad in one colour although I still need to spray the rear roof, just waiting for the weather to improve again. What is it with the weather here, one minute its hot and sunny and the following day sunny but the temperature drops by 10degrees with a strong northerly wind.

Now for those all important little details like the horse shoe I made after asking a friend to find an old horse shoe that I photo copied, reduced to 1/6 and made a copy, now all I have to do is spray and weather it before attaching to the front bumper.

Also made my own decals, which are easy to distress (not all by desire). One thing to note that although they print onto transparent decal material which is backed on white paper, the white areas on the decals are in fact also transparent. I will need to mask areas on the quad and spray a slight off white before applying the decals. It was good to try them out on a test card first. I produced the test card to also allow me to test weathering techniques prior to going for broke on the actual quad.

I hope that you all stay safe and keep well in these difficult times

Best regards

Dave B

Hi All,

Just a quick up date today. Finally, all one colour and a matt varnish coat added pre decals and weathering, hence no spare on the rear roof. Added the chassis and Limber for the photos. 25 pounder needs more work before ready for the camera.

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave
I have recently purchased a Quad kit from Adrian Harris.
While viewing posts on the forum I came across your question on radios
for the Quad. The battery and troop radios were usually installed in
A 15 cwt signals truck and a universal carrier which was used as an aop.

The type of wireless set are the numbers referred to in the circles.
They are 19 and 22 , the sets look very similar and sometimes are miss
captioned in photographs.

Best regards
John
