Re: TBS5
You cannot get automatic sounds when turning the turret. If you run through all of the sounds, you should find some which come after all the guns and voices which sound like machinery turning. You will have to manually select one of those sounds at the same time as turning the turret.
You cannot program the TBS5 via a cable. All the settings changes are done using the programming button.
The German language manual is here: http://www.benedini.de/TBS5_6_D.pdf
The English language manual is here: http://www.benedini.de/TBS5E_5.pdf

Re: TBS5
Thank you for the answer Adrian.
I did have sounds, engine, canon, mg1, mg2, and more in toggel mode.
I had the engine start on a 3 way switsh on the old radio.
With the new radio I only have engin sound, on a 3way switch.
But I can not get the other sounds when I toggel my switches.
I dont understand how to learn the new radio to toggel the other sounds.
I have read Benedini manuals, but I don not understand.
If you can please help me,
Robert tanzer

Re: TBS5
Can you send a picture or diagram of how you have the TBS5 connected to the receiver and the electronics ?
Can you check that the output on the receiver which goes to the control input on the TBS5 works as expected when you toggle the switch ?
How many beeps do you get when you turn on the power ?
What is the make and model of the new radio ?
Does it use 22mS signalling ?
The TBS5 is quite old now so probably will not work with newer "high speed" or "low latency" radio systems,as these use faster signals.
Would it be possible to go back to the other radio system and see if it works correctly again ?
Adrian.

Re: TBS5
Thank you Adrian, a friend of my in Danmark told me that you are a real expert.
I will start to chech your questions and get back to you.
The radio I have is a Frsky, Taranis-E X9E.
When I press the programming button on the TBS5 it flash 3 times. And it also plays all the extra sounds then.
When I power up, it's 4 beeps/sounds from the speaker.
I have the engine sounds when I drive it.
I will check the other to morrow.
I am much obliged to you Sir.
Have a nice day and stay safe.

Re: TBS5
In pic you have 4 servo cables.
No 1. connected to No. 6 on the reciver.
No 2. connected to No. 3 on the reciver.
No 3. connected to No. 5 on the reciver.
No 4. connected to the Output on the TBS5 board.
The two black cables are going to Armortek box.
The sole servo cabel goes to the back of the TBS5.
Have a nice day

Re: TBS5
Thanks Robert.
That looks OK to me.
2 & 3 are the track inputs from the receiver, and the two black leads are the track outputs which go to the speed controller.
1 is the control input, which should control the starting of the engine and the playing of the individual sounds.
I'm not sure what you say about 4. It should be the power input to the TBS5 board.
Does the engine sound start when you move the tracks or do you have to use the toggle switch ?
I'll do a video later of how the TBS5 is set up for toggle switch mode.
Adrian.

Re: TBS5
Robert,
IIRC, you have labeled your wires opposite the designations in the Benedini manual. That might have caused confusion? In other words, the Benedini no 4 is your no 1, connected to receiver channel 6. All you need to do now is to check your radio how receiver channel 6 is controlled, as the TBS5 is already set up for toggle control (three audible clicks on power-up). Maybe channel 6 is not configured in your radio at all and you need to do that?

A little too much is about right...

Re: TBS5
This is a video showing all that should be required to configure the TBS5 with a new receiver:
Once the TBS5 is in toggle switch mode, all that is needed is for the two track inputs and the control input to be connected to the receiver, then the programming button is pressed and the TBS5 runs through all of the sounds. The transmitter and receiver must be powered on and bound together for this to work.
Once it has played all the sounds, been turned off and back on again, it simply counts the clicks on the switch and plays the sound.
Adrian.

Yes I have to flick a switch to start the sound.
I would be very pleased to see your video, how to set up a TBS5.
Have anice day and stay safe.
