Hi John,

Yes the floor and supports are resin but I have added strength to the floor with L shaped beams and the support arms have metal rods in them. I have moved all the electrics so it will fit in, I even have room to add the rest of the floor. unfortunately it means I cannot add the engine in the engine bay, all the battery's and switches are in there.

After reading some of the new posts and seeing that one or two of you are detaining the interior of your Tigers, I thought I would share this book. The Research Squad, A Modern Study of Fgst.NR,250031. Its the Early Tiger 1 from the Wheatcroft collection.

I bought some parts for the Cannon balance spring to finish the interior of my Tiger Ausf E, but I couldn't find a really good picture of how it should look together.

So I trawled the internet without success until I remembered this book..... note to self, check you own book collection first

So if you are looking for images of the early ausf e spring balance here it is.

The parts are not too far out, so I can rejig them into what I want.

So after nearly two months I have finally finished my early tigers counter balance. Using the parts I had, I reworked them using the pictures in the research squad book I think I now have a fairly reasonable replication of the counter balance.

I Have also finished the gyrocompass from Ivano and added a light.

So I've just got to install everything and it will be back to the Sdkfz7 or until something else catches my eye.

I have been working on the smoke dischargers again and decided it was time I got the smoke canisters made. So I approached Tim Catton for help and this is what we have come up with, I think they look very close to the originals.

There are two types, the Nb.k.S.39 which uses aluminium and which seem to be the early type, and Nb.k.39B which uses zinc. I've gone for the Nb.k.S.39.

If you want to order a crate of 12, drop Tim an email.
