Hi All
Just want to know if anyone is interested in a tutorial on painting and weathering your finished model. I have seen some stunning models on this forum that could become outstanding with some simple weathering applied to the model. I want to share my simple trade secrets with this community that have been learnt over 30 years of modeling and it is not hard to do. Building my first ever Armortek model as photographed and will soon be building the PAK 43/41. I am now building a display diorama with 1/6th scale sand bags for now of which i can share the stl files if anyone wants them.

I would certainly be interested.
It's quite rare for these sized models get the proper weathering treatment but, when they do, the results can be spectacular.
Adrian.

Good evening Keith,
Weathering is a step that can make or break a model and after all the time invested in these models, a tutorial on weather would be most welcome.
Regards
Dave

Re: 25 Pdr Paint & Weathering Tutorial
My Aussie Centurion was weathered extensively with oils and pigments. I've done a bit on my techniques starting here:
http://www.armortek.co.uk/Forum3b/viewt ... &start=975
Don't think it qualifies as a tutorial but might give some ideas. I was going to turn it into a full YouTube instructional video but other entertainments have got in the way.
I've also written two Knowledge Base Topics on the subject.
Always good to see someone else's techniques.

Re: 25 Pdr Paint & Weathering Tutorial
Hi Stephen
Nice work mate. I want the tutorials to show very basic and simple techniques that can be used at any skill level and have a significant impact on the look of the model. To have the model look at if it has just been delivered from the factory and has been in use for a few months. And yes,it will involve oil paints. A very stress free way of weathering.

Hi All
OK. I will be doing the tutorials so stay tuned and it will be posted as a new thread. The techniques i want to cover are very simple with a process that is basically a recipe. It will be sectioned into two areas. The 1st will be weathering the main body of the model so large areas. The second will be on how to paint details into the smaller parts of the model like the satchels, ammo boxes, your spade and so forth.
Talk to you soon.
