Hi guys,
I have already started to assemble my SdKfz 7 kit. The plan is to build a late version. I have designed a gear box with an integrated differential and steering brakes. For driving the model I am using a Hacker outrunner brushless motor.
On last weekend I could do a first driving test, which works sufficiently, but I still have to tune the brakes.
Attached are some pictures from the gear box.
All electronic equipment will be placed inside the fuel tank
The motor for driving the winch is also placed inside the gear box
Next time I will do a small movie.

Re: SdKfz 7 late
I would be interested to know what sort of gearbox and braking system you have used.
Many years ago I purchased the plans for the Cerjak gearboxes and braking systems but all the shafts and collars needed were beyond my machining skills at the time (and probably still are )

Re: SdKfz 7 late
Hi all,
I restarted working on the SdKfz 7 after a long brake. The cabin is completely new. The driving wheel is working. The electronic is mainly placed in the tank below the seats.

Re: SdKfz 7 late
Hi Derek,
yes the cushions are 3D printed. The cooler used as speaker box, the inlays for the bonnet and the attachment (black parts) of the frame for the wooden flatbed too.
