Re: The V2 project
If that's your cad drawing from that blueprint then you have done a fantastic job. The file I found on the net has many faults like it's to thin, the super heating tubes that you can see rising vertically from the lower exhaust cone didn't print and the burner heads have one side missing!
I would love to print it, the last one actually took 30hrs!
That launch table will be maxing out my printer but it would just fit!

Re: The V2 project
Mine is 306mm tall and the widest diameter at the top is 176mm. How does it compare to yours? I made it in two parts for ease of printing.

Re: The V2 project
210x105, so I think we would be pushing it so best print in parts although it did print the file from the net! for the launch table rocket locating pins would need to be 320 on the diagonal and around 220 across from stabilizer fin to stabilizer fin.

Re: The V2 project
Thinking about the rocket engine definitely as one for strength as the entire assembly sits on it!

Re: The V2 project
So basically you are saying that the one you printed is smaller than mine.
I hope I did my calculations correct!!

Re: The V2 project
Well I just adjusted the scaling until it would fit in my thrust frame so that would be around 1/7th scale maybe. What was the height of the whole motor you calculated?

Yes 305mm is top to bottom. Sent you also the original drawing so that you can check it also.

Re: The V2 project
That blueprint would be hard to come by, there were many mks / variations as the rocket evolved so there would be differences, mine as usual is a compromise being around 1/7 to 1/8th scale as the rocket was bought in the from a company in the States making scale flying machines.

Re: The V2 project
I always assumed your V2 was 1/6th scale. If my calculations are correct what I sent you is a 1/6th scale engine. I guess you can always reduce the scale further in Cura.

Re: The V2 project
I'll have a go scaling it down. I do have another V2 in 1/6 in the making but it's huge . Prepare for a long print!
