I suspected that in that area you might have a lot of supports. Just followed your drawing.

Hi Phil
Yes indeed, subtle but effective, very nice on all fronts.

Re: Chieftain build by Phil Woollard.
Hi Liam I knew you were following, I will do another smoke trial very soon as Adrian is upgrading the smoke control units for me, basically my high pressure system draws a little to much current but it's all in hand. I'm excited to finally perfect the high pressure smoker and I think I'm nearly there, a convincing smoke signature in my opinion is so important in our scale, even more so for the Smokey old multi fuel two stroke main engine and of course the little gue synonymous with the Chieftain! It's all good fun and entertaining for all.

- The culprits, now I initially thought that the gue engine was a three cylinder but looking at the exhaust configurations turns out it's more likely to be a six cylinder and that's why it makes that God awful noise that we all love!

For Vince , the flywheel in 1/6th and for comparison the 1/35th, it's big!

I have that strange sinking feeling that you might find that it's too big. Bye the way, I made that recess on the side 15mm instead of 10mm.

I'm off to the workshop in a mo to measure the slice needed, I think it's to big but I can easily scale it down on the printer
Do you fancy having a go at the flex plate ring gear? It's the same diameter but but a whole lot thinner.

How's this before I make a mirror copy?
Do you have any hair left?? I suspect the supports of the rotor and stator will make you pull whatever hair you have left.

Re: Chieftain build by Phil Woollard.
OK. I'll make the mirror copy and send you the file.
Played around with that gear thingy you mentioned but was not sure exactly what diameter you wanted. This is about 93mm and 125 teeth. I could make more teeth but I suspect they won't print well.

Re: Chieftain build by Phil Woollard.
That will print just fine, the fans are about the same diameter on the little model, I can reduce it this end as 70mm looks about right to me.
My plan would be to build a complete L60 as a standalone model on a pallet ready for the Stalwart Reme vehicle to carry in the rear cargo area.
