New option pack, heads up

Post by Steve Norris »

For those that are about to install the new option packs a quick heads up of a small issue I have found.
After installing the motion and audio modules to a Stug that I am building I carried out a function test and everything was working as advertised. I then installed the recoil module and powered the up again and this time nothing worked.
After a bit of investigation I noted that the receiver was not powered and so nothing worked.
The fix is very simple and all that is required is the red (power) wire removing from the link cable between the audio module and recoil module, with the cable removed everything now works.
The photo below shows the link cable and the removed power wire, just need to insulate and tie the wire away.

Hello Steve, I had a similar issue when setting up my new modules on the M3 Grant. Adrian pointed this 'fix' out to myself in a PM. I thought this was just my problem. Thanks for posting. Mick

Hi Michael
Simple fix when you know what the issue is, but it may make some people think they have blown something if you do not realise what the problem is.

Hi Steve, thanks for the heads up. Have you made Armortek aware of this fault?
Phil.
