Hi folks - new guy here building the 25 pounder and limber. So I thought I would start with the limber and have completed a dry build but noticed that the doors do not open fully. Anyone else have this issue and how did you go about fixing it?
The clash appears to be at the hinges not allowing the doors to open fully. They will only open to about 85 degrees whereas photos I have seen they appear to open more than even 90 degrees?
Advise appreciated.

I found the part about modifying the hinges. Confirms what I thought needed to be done.
Received Dave's Limber and 25 Pounder upgrade kits this morning.
Absolute class and the detail is superb. I am going to busy over the next few months.

It's been a while since my last post but I have been busy and thought I would share some updates on my limber build.
Firstly I have 'dry' built the Limber all up and then took it all apart again and got to thinking about the possibility of having a full set of ammo trays and how would that look?
So I parked the build and went onto my CAD system to draw up some plans for the racks and when I was happy I had the parts laser cut out on 1.5mm brass.
Then it was back to the CAD system to draw up the Ammo Trays, which again I got them laser cut out of 1.5mm brass.
The assembled (dry) trays look well in my opinion.
And finally this is as far as I have got.
So I am now waiting on some more parts to complete the Ammo trays and will continue the story in due course.

- The laser cut brass ready for assembly.
- Assembled into the face plate
- Side view of the assembly
- The Ammo tray parts.
- The end parts needed to have 1/16" rivets fitted.
- Assembly underway
- All trays dry built.

Marcus, I have modified the design on my CAD system and the updated design has not been sent to the Laser cutting man yet. The change was because of some photo's I found which gave more detail of the cage structure. I will share more when I have completed the mods to those in the pictures.
