A quick update on the other battery option configuration and a little addition. The next job is shading the road wheels with the air brush and prepping for the turret detail kit that should arrive Tuesday, along with a beautiful tool box which will be full of tools! Now we are aware that the tool box was not generally found on the rear of the late Tiger 1 examples but we felt it would add even more interest to that busy rear plate. 8)

Another option for the batteries location to free up the hull space required for the turret basket.

I still have 10 to 15 mm of room to move the batteries further forward if required, the forward battery would be at a slight angle as it runs into the angle of the hull belly plate but that will not present any problem.

Love that compass.
What I've been doing. Note the new tracks are kept tight but slowly lower into position as they quickly wear in, if I have the tension right another hours running and it will be there.

The ali showing on the inner road wheels is from contact with the track horns, in reality this would be steel on steel, I will either let the ali oxidise or paint those areas in prior to "hand over", this would be metallic paint not camo or a weathering colour.

The correct interior colour now applied and a few more details added to the turret roof interior.

I have had a good day weathering and I am liking the results, I hope you guys do to, so here's a taster for tomorrow mornings post. Basically to get that realistic look one application of weathering is not going to cut it, many applications are required.....many many applications!

The other photos from yesterdays weathering marathon, first job of the day is to blow the leaf litter off 250 mtrs of steep drive way to ensure that the delivery driver and van can make the climb as they bring our turret interior. 8)

I like the profile of this cupola, it's more correct. Although the skate rail is missing and the Armortek rail is not going to fit.

There's a good level of detail but seems to be missing parts (it all came in it's own bag) which I am now fabricating.

Phil, from my limited experience with FOA, they never send any instructions with the parts. One is expected to go on their website to get/see any instructions or photos.
