Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard
Thanks guys, Steen the batteries are not large ah but fit nicely in that area as you can see, the run time will be interesting when I get chance ( and some good weather) to see just how long they last, with the new high efficiency motors and the newer esc's this should be more than enough for this build, we are not using a smoke machine either, now high tech batteries ( I'm not keen on using those) would be very long lasting for the given space, so if your going to need long run times at shows maybe go for the latter.
If I were you guys I would have piggy back deck batteries until I was ready for what ever you are up to, removing them when you are about to start your war games ect.
Andy the extruders are for sale on eBay but not good quality so get two. They sure do speed up the process somewhat although I did make an even smaller extrusion hole as the stock ones can still be a bit to big.
A tip, keep the extruder in your pocket just before and inbetween sausage making as the warmth makes it some much more malleable.
Phil.

Hi Phil, I'm glad you like my engine
I'm sorry but I don't understand what you need, send me photos or drawings, everything I've produced for the engine, I can supply it.
It only takes a little time to produce it, I don't store, as I have already written, I only produce on order. I hope to see the completed engine soon and read your comments. I hope you understand what I wrote Thank you very much Ivano

Ivano your Maybach is great there's so much hidden detail. It's just the fan drive attachment to the engine that I am not sure of.
Slow progress as it's so fiddly.
So not much to show really, prepping small parts and trying to work out what goes where and which way round but its coming along nicely. As it gets bigger it's becoming more difficult to shoe horn in and out of the engine bay. Oh and drilling my thumb!

A quick update, all ready now for the fuel system and carburetors, I've been up most of the night sneezing due to the cyno based adhesive, it's plays havoc with my nasal passages especially after a full day in the workshop exposed to the dam stuff.

It does look impressive and will look even better when it's finished.

That engine looks very good you could have one of these as a standalone model.
The Blue part was used to prime the carbs if the tank had been stood even overnight a few pumps helped fill the carbs with fuel ready for running.

Excellent assembly, very precise and detailed.
It seems to me that the editing you enjoyed, not extremely difficult, you just need a lot of patience and look carefully at the photographs of the real engine. I like it very much, BRAVO! If you need information, just ask me, it will be a pleasure to answer you.
I hope other modelers will want to build one, it is not an impossible task. Congratulations again, Ivano

Re: Late Tiger 1 commission build by Phil Woollard
Thanks Ivano, I'm not going to pretend that it is easy as it's not, you have to think alot, read alot, research alot and stick alot but what a superb Maybach model you have at the end!
Well as I still have not finished I now need to add the air filter catches and the decals, I have started the weathering process after painting in a base coat of German grey.
The engine will come to life when the decals are screwed in place.
