At Flying Legends

Post by Pete Nash »

The UK Tank Club had an invite to join the large scale flying modellers at this years Flying Legends.

Myself and Gary Coomber represented Armortekhe with his early Armortk Tiger and myself with my Panzer III and Mk.IV Tank.
Lyndon Whittaker took along his Marl 1 (I've washed my mouth with soap and water) Panther.

Hope we get asked again next year with more Armortek Models.

That Panther looks huge next to the other three. What scale is that? 1:4?

Tanks and planes, what could be better? That is a huge Panther. 1/4 scale I'm guessing.

Lovely Cuban Fury there and a brave soul in the background building a Brewster Buffalo. Good luck with that one. Mixing scales at these shows has one downside, it compromises the scale effect. With so few tanks at Legends, there wasn't a choice but at predominantly tank shows, having separate areas for each of the scales would have benefits.

Someone at the Sonning show on Sunday - sorry no pictures - asked if anyone made tanks you could sit in.

Only one I've seen is the one which was driving round at TankFest.

Adrian.
