You might want to try this stuff. I've got a can of The Original Holts Rustola. I find that it is way better than WD40. The original can has a black liquid in it that really penetrates into the the threads of rusted nuts and bolts.

That is really turning into a cool restoration!
Hard to think in terms of 'restoring' a kit! But it's worthy and, well, fantastic!!
Keep the pictures coming and we are all rooting for this to be a superb build.
Also inspired me to get a 222... Which I am totally going to have a ball with!
