Started front mud guards ...flaps today..I chose .035 inch stainless steel because I had it......tough stuff to cut !!! I doubled up on the base of the piano hinges as on the Bovington tiger

Re: Tiger build
Looking very good so far.Your welds have come out fantastic and I like that you have corrected the front mudguard attachments, very few have done this. Only thing I can see that needs to be modified is the drivers armored visor.
Looking forward to more updates.

Re: Tiger build
While working on the rivet detail on mud flaps I wanted to try and form a dome on the through stem of the rivet on the underside rather than just smash in down. I ground a small concave depression on the punch...worked well !

Re: Tiger build
Mud flaps are done...off to the paint booth ( trash can just outside my garage )...seems a shame to paint them..I like the bare metal look.....

Re: Tiger build
Modified some old original spare track links...cut relief holes in horns and weathered to look like the links on the Bovington tiger and added spare track bar

Re: Tiger build
Beautiful work Mark - I agree those tracks are perfect. I was planning on doing similar to my Late tracks, plus adding the ice cleats etc. Great details all around. Your Tiger will be superb when finished.
Best regards,
Bob
