Re: Florians FAMO build
Well I hope you do as it will be an impressive beast to be sure! I have a 540 bhp XKR which I love very much, although I could buy a new small car every year with the running costs! We must be crazy

Oh nice Phil, an XKR convertible?
So I will tell you about the track links. The split pins from the kit are a bit too smal for my mind. The photos shows as best why.
I'll change to another size.

Re: Florians FAMO build
That's a better size pin Florian, I made the head loop a bit bigger on my build using very fine long nose pliers, I did notice that left as they are supplied it was possible to pull the loop right through the track pin hole if you were not careful.
Not convertible, "rag tops" are not good in our climate!

Tahts alos a solution Phil, but the split pin is so tiny that I fear it would break in action maybe.

Re: Florians FAMO build
Some other elecronic parts arrived... The main drive control have 100A and with a little modify it fits in the space under the drivers seat
Also one of the tracks I've finished... My goodness how long that track bastard is. - Its over 2m My biggest rack size was that tiny little from my StuG

Looking good Florian, boy that is tight for space under the front seat but nicely done. Hows the dummy engine coming along?

Re: Florians FAMO build
Do not remind me of the dummy engine Phil. I started it but I did not move on. I just want to finish the technology and electrics, then it goes on with it.
Yes, it is just under the seat, but it fits perfectly. That's the way it should be.

Re: Florians FAMO build
After a little problems, the FAMO is now running nearly perfectly.
Some signal disorder I have, but fortunatly I know a good elecronic spezi, so it will be run perfect at a meeting in Leipheim.
After that I can go forward to finish the loading area and make more details.

Re: Florians FAMO build
After my first driving test at home, now it goes on the road to the Fliegerhorst Museum in Leipheim. On 25.05. I hope the weather is fine, so I can make some photos and videos of the Famo at work.
