Panzer III . Dale

I have changed my mind about doing a PZIII N . This will be the look I'm after . I like the look of the paint sceme plus the front half of the fender missing . The stowage on the engine deck , spare tracks everywhere.. Dale

That's certainly an excellent looking vehicle, with lots of detailing to be added.

Do the Schurtzen just clip on in the same way as the Panther

If they do I would imagine the noise of a tank moving over uneven ground would be horrendous

Dave Dibbs has a set of brass schurtzen for his PanzerIV . Maybe this will fit a PZIII .. I realy like the wicker basket . I will have to hang around the craft shops or hand bag shops with my wife to find a mini one .. Notice how the crew had mask up and spray dark yellow behind the black numbers to make them stand out more ! It's these little things that make a model special . Dale

What is it with you and fenders?
The wicker basket you should find at a garden center or craft shows I have found lots of different size ones and shapes for use on model boats over the years we have a company here in the uk called Warmadam and they do them for flower arranging and Christmas displays.

I'm with you Dale, smashed fenders are totally sexy.

No fenders is even better.

Thats a great and unusual paint scheme for a PIII.

Some of the folks who build the itty-bitty 1/35 scale can sure detail them up like a real tank. That is amazing work. The grass and goop in the tracks is a great touch.

Here is the other side... Notice in this photo how good the six spoked drive sprocket looks !!! Plus how the spokes are curved .... Dale

Search out the Osprey book "Panzer Modelling" it has some nice pictures of various models, including a dirty looking Stug III
