Hello all, and welcome to my Ferdinand build, built for a customer in the uk, posted some pictures last week but thought I would post it in the correct topic,
Decided to convert the Armortek elefant in to the Ferdinand version, I like to build my models adding various details which might not be factually correct but I just like the detail/looks, I have altered from the elefant kit the engine deck, roof, mudguards, added detail to all the hatches (added/removed some), tool arrangement, altered the rear intake, and even done some work on the tracks!, added some aftermarket parts like Armorpax great tool boxes, Steve Winston lovely bosch headlights, also added zimmerate (Milliput) and surface texture (Mr surfacer 500), painting was upol high build etch primer, and fosco base colour (panzer grey), in my mind the best paint to use as a base start colour, then weathering, (Tamiya) and various washes (mig etc), I was lucky enough to have a great painter show me how to apply/use paints and washes so learning the tips of the trade,
so hope these pictures of our of some help to other builders, and if there's any picture you want some advice etc on please feel free to pm me,
will add some more pictures and some of the electrics in another post,
ferdinand
