2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY

Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Open again after the holidays

Post by Armortek »

Happy new year to everyone !

After a 3 week shutdown for the holiday we reopened the factory yesterday (7th Jan) and are back in production mode. Famo parts are all finished on the machines and almost all boxed up ready for shipment. We are well underway with the M3 Lee/ Grant production - idler wheels will be finished today, and the bogie components should be done in the next few days. Still a way to go on production, but nice to see all the machines running again.

Before the holidays we announced that we will be making the King Tiger again this year and offered the opportunity for customers to make pre-payments. This has proved to be quite popular, so we are looking to extend the prepayments across our other kits as well. More on this to follow, but in the meantime, if you are interested then get in touch with us. King Tiger order book will open at the end of Jan - we will announce when this happens.

On the operational front, we start the year down 2 employees. With all the requests that came in over the holidays, plus the normal day to day work, this has put us on the back foot somewhat. The impact is that, in the short term, any spare part orders will be handled once a week. Orders received on Thursdays through to Wednesday will be handed on Thursdays - we may not be able to accommodate last minute requests. Thanks for your patience on this.

Finally, because we don't have enough to do (!), we are also planning a surprise announcement one of these days - will be announced first through the newsletter only, so you may want to subscribe to be one of the first to hear. (https://www.armortek.co.uk/newsletter/)

Onwards with 2019 !

Welcome back and best wishes to you all for a successful and rewarding 2019. The year is getting off to a flying start and a surprise announcement will keep us all looking at the inbox. Lots to look forward to, new and re-issued models, a very lively Forum, shows to attend and maybe some video action? Armortek goes from strength to strength. It's surprising it's taken so long for others to try to emulate what you do but is no surprise no-one can match it.

A few things I would hope for and would like to contribute to, where I can:

- New models to suit all tastes - I won't re-open the old debate about what
- Maybe an archive/gallery of the best models on the Forum?
- A presence on YouTube?
- A more professional and engaging way of showing our models to the public?
- Sharing and enjoying more historical research, which enhances our models and stimulates wider interest in them - maybe a History section in the Forum?

Whatever, it's a great community to belong to.

Stephen

Looking forward to the surprise announcement...something 1/4 scale like a Sherman manufactured like the original release with a cast turret and front drive housing would be super cool.

Problem solved if machining parts of this size is an issue.

Large models do sell well if the recent Famo release is anything to go by.

Cheers

Oooh, I love Armortek surprises. Maybe it is a 1/6 Phil Woollard build assistant. The man is an absolute machine!

Welcome back and hope you and yours had a great holiday!

I shut down the shop for 10 days and immersed myself in an RR motor build and loved it! Finish in the next week or so.

Never get rid of cool cars! Unless it's to get cooler ones! If you ever decide you want to upgrade to a Conti-R.... call me first.

Happy New Year all! Can't wait to see what you and the team bring forth this year!

Cheers,

RPR
