Re: Florians FAMO build
Good morning Chang,
you're right, that parts need some help.
I took the long shaft to the part CS0574.
Next thing is, to make the part CS0249 shorter, or you can't tighten it, and fix with loctite (the way I did, because you can adyust it before tight). The part CS0249 press part CS0511into the case end. So the winch will not work.
I adust the right place for CS0574 and Cs0511 with distance discs. This discs I did on the end behind CS0574. If you put the parts together and install the big brass gear, you will see that the gear encounters at the part CS0574 (the side with the grub).
I hope that helps.

Re: Florians FAMO build
For the cabin floor I use double-sided adhesive tape.
before, I make the floor more scale with M1,6 model fasteners. Some fasteners I can fix with nuts, other I have to make a thread in the bottom. Its a tricky work, but if finished it will be nice...

What are distance discs? Are they included in any coded part bag?
Do you mean insert this distance discs between the CS0574 and CS0511?
With regards,

Re: Florians FAMO build
The distance discs are a pair of washers that "shim" the bottom of the shaft, and so correctly align the worm gear over the brass snail gear, you will also need to file the grub screw flush with the worm gears outside diameter ....Phil.

What have you done to get the trafficator boxes to fit around the front kit boxes either side of the drivers seat ? There's not enough room!

Good morning Phil,
I do not understand this question. there is enough space for me there. I take pictures and send them to you.
By the way, the original boxes looks some diffrent to the kit boxes from Armortek. Maybe I make a little update.

Re: Florians FAMO build
Ah now I understand.
I'll build my winkers with funktion. So I think doing some special.
But you're right. It seams the boxes are the same high as the seat.

Re: Florians FAMO build
Hi Florian and Phil,
Refer to my questions dated 12/Dec/2018, may I ask again, as this area was really bugs me.
(A) which way is it correct?
The worm gear (CS0574) grub hole side goes into the chamber as
or the other way around as
(B) The shaft nut (CG0249) is about 15mm long on the pitched length. When you say to cut it shorter, what is the best length to keep? With regards,
Lerh Chang

Re: Florians FAMO build
Hi Chang, the second position with the grub screw nearest the opening is how I see it. I wouldn't take anything off the brass nut/screw thingy as something must keep the grub and shaft in position other than fixed grub holding it, if you want just turn some of the threads off that brass nut but leave the centre bearing surface as is, that may make the fit easier.
