Hi,
I have finally got movement with my Panther but seem to have installed the track tensioner incorrectly . When I move the Panther forward the idler wheels on both side shoot forward to loosen the track tension . The allen screw seems to just fit in the brass housing and pops out when I move forward. What have I done wrong
Thanks Antony
Help with track tensioning & idler wheel Please

Antony,
That sounds strange because the idler wheels shouldn't be able to move forward as the allen head bottoms out in the brass bushing thing.
I've had a few times where I mounted up the tracks and the tensioners(allen bolt) had fallen out of the brass thing but once it's back in and tensioned up, the idlers shouldn't move forward.
I know this isn't much help but noone else chimmed in so I thought I might.
Good luck
Tim

Hi Mark & Tim,
Thanks for the quick reply . Yes, I had the offset on the idler upside down . Now it DOES bottom out in the brass bushing . Brilliant, just need to remove one more link and everything should be alright for now. Nice to see it moving after all this time . When you consider the weight in these tanks it is amazing how smooth and easy they run. Next test - OUTSIDE, but only when it stops raining
Thanks Antony
