Tiger 1 - 2003 - Track maintenence

Post by Steen Vøler »

Hi all

after a year of running the Tiger in various terrain, it was time for track inspection. What startet out as a routine job turned out to be a little more than that.

On the left side, 12 track pins was loose - they had lost their push lock washer. I had only 5 of the new type with pin lock so I had to reuse old track pins.

I used a 1mm metal drill and started using a punch tool to mark the drill hole and then gently bore the hole for the pins. All went well and I now have extra spares.

Also painted the turret number 213 and the Tiger is now ready to go on tank show Saturday in Sweden

Excellent I'm running out of the starlock fasteners. Do you get the new style ones from Armortek?

Turret looks fantastic. Lot of work yet to do on ours.
