Great set of photos. It looks like Paul's Tiger is suffering from the shock of good weather. For once the sun has shined all weekend down here in the smoke, but unfortunately the tanks stayed in the garage due to a weekends clay shooting. I must say that grass looks tough old stuff to run the tanks on, you want to see if you can get permision to make a dirt tank course on that bit by the wall.

Hi Fellas.
Thought i would put this back on the old Leighton hall posting as the new one is concerned with other things.
Right as per conversation in the pub Sunday last i have mailed Leighton hall regarding the idea of us renting some land from them.
In the mail i asked for a plot of land at least the same size as the original and said that we would wish to able to run 52 weeks per year weather permitting of course, i know we would not wish to run that often but that we do not wish to be stopped by the shooting if possible, i also asked that we should be allowed to put in a permanent bridge and some buildings and that we would like to able to alter the appearance of the ground as in lumps and bumps to drive over but...at the same time, we would take on responsibility to look after the ground and keep it in the general condition they would expect! I think that more or less covers what was said on Sunday, and i am pleased to say that i have had a response from Suzie who has explained why they have been so silent in the past few weeks, Lucy has now taken over more or less all of the running of the estate from Mr. Reynolds and as such she has been vey busy, but the mails have been forwarded to her and she is looking into it for us, which i think is pretty positive because at least they have not said no.
They have promised to get back to me in the next week when i will of course let you all know the outcome.
Cheers Paul.

Richie,

If we are renting the land there is nothing stoping us, as long as we get permission first!

hi paul

this canopy is amazing :P , like a polly tunnel roof, but with no sides 8) i think you would need planning permission on this , due to the size of it, but we would never get rained of again :P

Hi All,

Sorry I've been quiet lately but BT sent me this new Home Hub thing but not the right connections  . Anyway been to PC World today and I got myself the correct ethernet connection. I'm now back on-line  .

Paul, sounds promising. Lets hope the smell of cash gets them thinking
Richie, the tunnel thingy sounds interesting but what about the wind etc :?: It would have to be very strong but is definately worth a thought on the right piece of land. Imagine turning up and not worrying about the weather :D :D .

p.s. Sorry about the Christmas thing but we are relying on our Niece and as she is young, free and single I can't blame her for wanting to go out most weekends up to and including Christmas. After Christmas would be great

See you soon,

Antony

All,

I hope you secure a deal with Leighton Hall, it sounds a good idea and should lead to a permanent fixture for you. I would love to have a local ground where like minded tankies could meet and run on a regular basis. The chance to make some features and interesting topography for the tanks is also very appealing - good luck with the venture.

As for crimbo parties, its very difficult to set them up but a Jan meeting/meal will be soething to look forward to in the vcuum that follows crimbo.
