Unidentified resin objects

Post by Phil Crowther »

Back at the bench with my 25pdr and trying to identify two small items on the Armorpax upgrade set.
I'm having a mare uploading a photo so I'll try and describe them. They are two tear shaped base plates with what can best be described as an egg cup and it's very shallow friend attached. I can't find them on any image I've discovered yet and hope someone here can help.
Cheers, Phil

That's the big one, Phil. Any idea where the little one lives?

Best take a look on Daves build thread of the 25 pounder, I can't place it, you may have a spare there , I would need to see a photo, what's the problem with your photo uploading, does it say that the file is to big??.........Regards Phil.

A combination of rushing and poor memory was responsible for the photo failure. I'll get it sorted on the morrow. I'll check Dave's post again and see if I can spot it. Thanks for your help.

Hi Phil,

If the back plate is identical on both it may be a miss form on the primary casting. If I get an air bubble and it does not fully form the handle rather than throw the whole plate away I do a secondary cast to redo that part. Once I see the pics will be able to confirm.

Best regards

Think I've done it. It's 'B' that's causing concern. Or it may be a bubble!

Hi Phil,

B didn't form properly when I cast the plate with the travel lock etc on it so I have added a fully formed one. You can throw B away and A is the handle for the site guard plate shown by Phil earlier in the thread.

Best regards
