Congratulations Marco. It looks to be in good shape and still working considering it was stored for 10 years. Don't tell me the batteries still worked!

Congratulations with your tiger. It's quite fun to take it apart and start the build again. Have done it a couple of times and enjoy the restoration
cheers

Isn't "Oh Yes...!" more accurate to express the feeling, Marco? :D

Marco
That is a great looking Tiger. Welcome to the "family". I was going to say the paint and weathering is really realistic - then you said stored in a barn. No substitute for "real" weathering sometimes! Not so great for the electronics - but hopefully no major problems! Nice camo paint. Looks to be in great shape overall.

I think you do, but maybe not as you know it, the previous owner designed/built these himself, very nicely done!

Worked hard today!

We took out the Tamiya DMD unit and speaker (I ordered a Benedini-set), and also removed the Robbe/Futaba 40GHz receivers. They were replaced with a 2.4GHz set.

I think we also fixed the smoker!

Cleaned her out even more, found out about a lot more details (learning more every time!) and picked one large engine hatch to test cleaning, re-priming and spraying on.

Good to see you are on the way of refurbishing the Tiger :-)

I noticed that you did not sand down the old pain and rust on the engine hatch. I recommend that you do the sanding, and put on the primer after the surfavce is clean. This will give you a much better starting point for the large paint job
cheers

Well, that's only partly true. I must agree this particular piece could've been sanded better, but we did work on it. We really try to sand off all the rust and loose pieces of paint. See screenshot below. :-)
