I've never seen an RR Armoured car next to a MkIV before... Amazing size comparison when you seem them in scale together.

I always think of the WW1 tanks as behemoths. But this makes it look much smaller than they appear in pictures or even when standing next to one. I've only seen the one at Kent. And I remember it as massive. But seeing it next to the RR, it looks much smaller! Very, very cool picture!

As for the comparison with the Mark IV, as you can see against all the other tanks the RR is a long machine but the Mark IV has it beat in the er, girth department!

Regarding this wonderful new model : are the wheels built using separate spokes and rims? Having built a few motorcycle wheels I can imagine that building wheels in 1/6 th scale will be 'fun' !!!

I lost the gist of it too ! But, if I remember correctly, you get two jigs - one for the hub and one for the rim. The spokes are like long pins. You put them in one way, and give the jigs a twist to lock the spokes. Then you turn it all over and do the other spokes in the other direction.

Or something like that ....... the double wheels on the back axle are apparently even more fun !

For me, the best bit is that the motor fits inside the engine block ! So you can open the bonnet, see that lovely engine, but still drive the model around on full r/c. Incredible

It is a lovely thing though - I didn't expect to like it, but I was smitten. If only funds permitted ....

The description above is fairly accurate but we will aim to have a video up on how to put together the wheels before we start shipping - its not all that easy to explain with drawings alone.
