Hi Guys
It has taken some time, but I have finally made the "C" Shackles for the Tiger 1, Tiger II (King Tiger), Panther and Jagdpanther in metal. I have been wanting to do this for some time as I know my original "C" Shackles cast in resin were the wrong shape, I made these about 4 years ago and used drawings as a reference which were wrong. I have had to compromise a little on the center thickness of the shackles, they are a little thinner in the middle than they should be. Had to do this so they would fit my Pan01-10 (Panther Set) and Pan01-08 (Jagdpanther Set), which many of you have. All new sets sold will come with these new shackles. All those that have purchased either of the sets and want to upgrade can buy two new shackles for $20.00 plus shipping.
My thanks goes to Kent Wiik who supplied pictures and measurements of the real shackles.
I have also made the "U" Shackles for the Panther, Jagdpanther and Tiger II (King Tiger)
The new "C" and "U" Shackles.
Comparision picture so you understand why I needed to do this.

Tiger 1, Tiger 2, Panther and Jagdpanther U and C Shackles
Mike, your shackles looks fantastic!
I am so pleased my postings on the previous forum came to good use and that is exactly why I posted them and why I bought the real WW2 ones from Germany to measure - in the benefit for the hobby.
(and bring us up the standard in accuracy we regard as "normal" in 1:35... )
Keep up your good work.
Kent
