Derek,

I've tried a number of colours in the past and have never got a satisfactory result. I've even tried painting a basic wood colour brown in enamel and whilst still wet trying to drag a darker acryliic brown through it to get a grain effect but to no real avail. If you look at the pictures of my sherman tools in the SHerman section you will see that I have made wooden handles which was really relatively easy. These can then be oiled and varnished.

Hello Derek

I upgrade them to real wood. All you do is stain them.

Hi Derek, I was wondering if you would be so kind to post some pictures? :)
