Some pics of mine that may be of interest, this time its really a study of the figures that we use on and around our models, mainly Tiger 1 casual photo dioramas.
I think its worth showing the figures in a more relaxed pose, often "waiting around" as you do in the forces. The way the figure is posed, dressed and doing something even if its not anything except maybe tapping his fingers whilst laying around on the warm armour plate in the sunshine, enough said....

I think the weathering is so important to add that touch of realism, be dirt dust or rust.

Difficult to see in this one but the Tiger 1 is actually towing a Tiger 2 albeit with no tracks, fine on a hard surface.

Love the "grainy old photos" - it's becoming increasingly difficult to say which is which. No doubt the rivet counters can identify immediately, but its fun for the rest of us. :D Keep 'em coming.

Hi Phil,

I will go for the middle ground and say, very realistic 8) the good use of the power pole to lend realism is great, and as I said yesterday, the smoke was perfect.

Only short fall is picture two, the fence in the background is out of scale. you could try editing the fence out, then the photo would be as good as the rest.

Keep them coming, they are great. 8)

Paul.

The smoke colour may seem irrelevant for a black and white photo but from experience the orange produces by far the best edit material (don't try this at home)
