Do you charge your batteries one at a time or is there a 24 volt charger out there?

Hi Russ

I believe it's possible to do either but much depends on your particular model and accessibility to the batteries.

In my Centurion, I use a C-tek 24v charger (Mxt-4) with the female half of the in-line connector fitted in a hole cut in the power supply unit tray and wires permanently connected to the batteries, Then charging is simple, open the rear hatch and plug in the male connector from the charger.

Plenty of 24 volt chargers exist, though it has been proven that the Accumate series have difficulties in charging twin battery set-ups.

If you charge batteries separately, when one reaches the end of its life, it will be obvious when it stops reaching full charge.

This effect can be hidden when batteries are charged in series, so that one failing and hence under-charging battery can cause the other to be over-charged, hence ruining both.

I use two C-Tek 12V 5A chargers, and have the battery wiring split in the tank loom so that they can be charged independently.

+1 for Kevin's method, which I use on my Mark IV and a Panther I'm looking after for a friend ....
