Tankmod 2016 Show

Post by Armortek »

Picture1.png
The Tank Museum Tankmod Event is on Oct 8th this year. It's the last big show of the season.

Gill and Mark have other commitments that day but I've spoken to the museum organiser who would like to see a strong Armortek representation (although we agreed not to mention world records ever again). There is a limit on space this year. If you would like to go, could you please let me know, either by replying to this topic or via:

sales@armortek.co.uk

I'll need to confirm provisional numbers by 4 Aug. After that, there may be a cap on numbers.

Hope to see you there.

Stephen -

I'd be grateful if you'd add me to the list, with Liesel.

What are the insurance requirements ? Are we covered by Armortek, even if Mark & Gill aren't there ? I'm OK, as I have UKTC and SAG insurance, but I'll ask my friend with his Armortek Panther G if he wants to come (it would be his first time at a show). Would he need his own insurance ?

All the best,

Chris

Chris, thanks. You're on the list. If you'd like to add your friend, I'd be grateful for confirmation and his details to pass on to the TM.

Insurance is a personal responsibility but it sounds as though you're well covered. We will be at the show as Armortek customers, not as Armortek. Nevertheless, the TM staff are very keen to see our tanks running and are making arrangements accordingly, based on the goodwill Gill and Mark have generated over the years.

A couple of notes:

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far, I hope you've all received PMs to acknowledge. I'll be letting the TM know provisional numbers on about the 6th Aug.

I've asked for some tables, should anyone wish to bring a Kompact Kit.

Should be a good show.

All the best.

Stephen

Hope I am not too late, I'd like to attend with my (repaired) Mark IV if there is space. I held off until I knew the extent of the problem with my track but now it is fixed I would love another day out at the Tank Museum.

We've had a great response to Tankmod and I've got 21 names on the list. I hope everyone who has responded has received a PM to confirm. I'm talking now to the Tank Museum about numbers.

After the popularity of last year, they have a lot more to pack in and space is at a premium. We'll have a dedicated running area in the Tank Story Hall but there is a point where numbers will be limited, unlike last year. If anyone else is thinking about going, could you please let me know at the latest by the end of next week?

We've got a strong representation from the "Old Codgers" ie the Mk IV owners. In this centenary year of Flers, the first tank battle, I wonder if you'd like to think of marking the anniversary in some way? I might for example be able to lay my hands on a Royal Tank Regiment (ie Tank Corps) flag. The Museum have offered tables if we need to display anything.

I'll post details when I have them.

Best regards

Stephen
